The Good News about Serving
Being part of God’s family of faith isn’t something we’re meant to keep only for ourselves - it’s something for everyone around us to benefit from and enjoy. Jesus is alive in us by his Spirit to be witnesses of his grace and signposts of his in-breaking kingdom from here to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). We want nothing more than our neighbors to know God’s love and for our church to be a safe place for anyone to bring their whole selves to experience that love and discover the peace and joy that comes with knowing Christ. When Jesus blesses, he also sends out (John 20:21), so we provide opportunities for Bethany to serve the community and also for our neighbors to come together in informal, fun yet meaningful ways.
How We Connect
BETHANY CARES
Out of the desire to connect our neighbors to Jesus, Bethany Cares is a ministry team that creates relationships through volunteer work, meeting tangible needs, and offering space for spiritual formation.
LOCAL PARTNERS
Bethany is happy to partner with Kingdom Causes Bellflower - a social service ministry whose mission is to inspire, connect and mobilize people towards personal and community transformation through work programs, affordable housing, community events, consultation and resources.
We are also in close partnership with YoungLife ABC (Artesia-Bellfower-Cerritos) as they seek to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They do this by meeting kids where they are and building personal relationships with them so that they can share the gospel with them and walk alongside them regardless of how they respond to the Good News.
